Parks

Park Bench

The Rio Santiago project would provide approximately 78 acres of open space and recreational area. Of this area, 43 acres designated as the “Santiago Creek Greenway Reserve” may provide for a future expansion of Santiago Oaks Regional Park. The remaining 36 acres may feature soccer and softball fields, swimming pools, and the like. A portion of the 2 two-story facilities are proposed to accommodate administrative needs related to recreational activities on-site.

Trails

Santiago Trails

The Rio Santiago project would provide an opportunity to construct nearly two miles of public multi-purpose trails that can be enjoyed by hikers, bikers and equestrians. A trail could run along the south side of Santiago Creek showcasing the natural beauty of the creek and provide much-desired connectivity.
