	The approval of Rio Santiago will reclaim the site of a former sand and gravel mine and current rock crushing operation and result in a land plan that provides for over 80 acres (73%) total open space.
	The process that created the Rio Santiago land use plan represents a new consensus approach to planning and community outreach.
	This same process will result in added layers of public review which will add extra levels of public assurances that what is proposed is the same as what is built.
	The plan for Rio Santiago meets a long-awaited and highly desired local need for a truly luxurious active-adult living environment right in East Orange.
